New(ER) Mandatory Form I-9 and When ICE Appears on your Doorstep

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has published yet another version of the Form I-9 marked with a July 17, 2017 version date.  Starting on September 18, 2017, employers MUST use only this version of the form for all new hires and reverification on any employee with an older version of the form.

OSHA has issued a final rule to curb lung cancer, silicosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and kidney disease in America's workers by limiting their exposure to respirable crystalline silica. The rule is enforceable as of September 23, 2017, for construction standards and we have provided some resources to aid our members in compliance.
