Labor Relations

Working with National Staff, Kansas Chapter, NECA strives to maintain good, harmonious relations with the Local Unions of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) through negotiating and administering collective bargaining agreements that contain mutually beneficial terms to support a strong workforce and keep its member firms competitive in today’s electrical contracting market.

Partnering with the IBEW, Kansas Chapter, NECA and its members manage and support local health & welfare and pension funds that provide industry leading benefits to thousands of participants along with administering apprenticeship programs through the Electrical Training Alliance that produce the most skilled, highly-trained electricians in the country 

Continuing Education

The Management Education Institute provides NECA members and chapters with education and training services. It focuses on business and project management knowledge and skills required for the success and continuous improvement of the 21st century electrical contracting industry.

The NECA Show

The NECA National Convention and Trade Show is America's leading power distribution and cabling exposition. Industry professionals and decision makers from large, small, national and international electrical contractors, who represent $9 billion in spending power, meet face-to-face with manufacturers, utilities, consultants, engineers and distributors.

Voice/Data/Video Expo

NECA contractors, IBEW electricians, educators and leading suppliers to the voice/data/video industry come to network and improve their skills and abilities in this rapidly advancing, technology-laden segment of our industry.

Electrical Contractor Magazine

The Electrical Contractor Magazine is published for electrical contractors throughout the United States as a service for more than 4,000 members of the National Electrical Contractors Association. Their goal is to serve all participants in the power and voice/data/video industries.

Governmental Affairs

NECA Government Affairs monitor developing legislation and government regulations for its members. Through NECA, member contractors get the latest breaking news on the legislation from Capitol Hill that affects their business.

Codes and Standards

NECA members help to review and develop the National Electrical Code and many local codes developed throughout the country. The National Electrical Installation Standards are a series of installation manuals that define the proper installation of electrical products and systems.

Safety

NECA publishes documents and presents seminars that are designed to help NECA members perform jobs more safely. 

Electri International Foundation

The Electri International Foundation promotes and advances the ability of electrical contractors to meet the demands of today and the challenges of tomorrow. The foundation is a national organization through which leaders of NECA, and other segments of the electrical contracting industry, work together to fund, conduct and coordinate the industry's most critical research and education programs.

Marketing

The NECA Connection puts NECA members in contact with customers of electrical construction projects via the Internet. NECA analyzes the job parameters entered by the customer and searches through over 4,000 NECA members to find the right match.
