The 2014 NECA National Convention and Trade Show was held in the Windy City, Chicago, IL from September 28th to October 1st this year. Continuing the Kansas Chapter tradition of interesting travel arrangements, some members faced challenges in their trip to Chicago. However, upon arrival members were treated to a bigger and better Trade Show, awe-inspiring speakers, and good times all around.
The events of the NECA Show began Sunday night with a fun-filled evening in the Field Museum where guests were treated to delicious food, vibrant entertainment, and even a few dinosaur bones. The next few days contained trips to the Trade Show floor to see “what’s what” in the electrical contracting industry. Monday night, Kansas Chapter members gathered at Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab Restaurant for a wonderful meal in one of Chicago’s top steakhouses. The events of the NECA Show came to a close at the House of Blues with Jim Belushi and the Sacred Hearts Band entertaining guests late into the evening.
As always, the NECA Show was a highly educational and entertaining event for NECA contractors. For those who were not able to attend, the Kansas Chapter hopes to see you next year in San Francisco for the 2015 NECA Show!
